  • Cancellations, modifications within 72 hours, or no-shows will incur the full seating fee per guest plus processing fees.
  • Seating starts at $225 per person (subject to market pricing).
  • Seatings last approximately 2 hours and include 15–17 experiences plus dessert.
  • Automatic gratuities apply:
    • Party of 4 — 20%
    • Party of 6 — 25%
    • Party of 7+ — 30%
  • A 3.5% processing surcharge applies to all credit card payments. Cash discounts are available.

  • Dress Code: Smart Casual to Semi Casual. No flip flops, gym attire, or shorts for men, or peak caps.

  • If unavailable, guests may join the waitlist at no cost.
  • Reservation holders will receive confirmation 72 hours before seating time.
  • A secret password and venue address will be shared 24 hours before seating time.
  • Cancellations, modifications within 72 hours, or no-shows will incur full charge.
  • Guests may join the waitlist if preferred seating is unavailable.
  • No waitlist or cancellation fees unless a seat becomes available and is confirmed.
  • Waitlist placement does not guarantee a reservation.
  • Guests may be contacted via email or text if seating becomes available.
  • Same-day waitlist confirmations must be accepted within 1 hour, before being offered to others.
  • Non-response after being informed that you have moved from waitlist to confirmed seating will be treated as confirmation.
  • Password and venue address will be shared before seating time if you are moved from waitlist to confirmed seating.
  • Seating starts at $225 per person (subject to market pricing).
  • We source directly from the market. There may be times when certain fish or produce are not available. The reservation cost will remain the same.
  • All major credit cards are accepted. A processing and handling surcharge fee of 3.5 % is charged on the total check amount for all credit card payments.
  • Cash discount is available.
  • Checks can be split; one card per every 2 seats. (Ex: 2 seats 2 cards, 4 seats 2 cards, 6 seats 3 cards, etc.).
  • We reserve the right to reschedule seating to accommodate the minimum number (6 seats) to host and deliver the omakase experience.
  • We reserve the right to prioritize private, special collaboration or other related events and membership seating.
  • Right of admission reserved for management
  • Guests should maintain a reasonable noise level, so that all guests can equally enjoy the same experience. You will be asked to reduce the noise level and may incur a “large party fee” if the noise level impacts other guests.

The Experience

  • The secret password and physical address will be shared 24hrs ahead of your seating time, once confirmed. Located in: Ridgefield, New Jersey, 07657
  • Seatings last ~ 2hrs and the menu ranges from 15 - 17 experiences, including something sweet at the end
  • Seating starts: $225 per person (subject to change based on market prices)
  • For your convenience, we are a BYOB establishment
  • You are welcome to reorder any of the experiences from the omakase or create your own and request our chef specials. This would be an additional charge
  • Cancellations, modifications within 72 hours, or no-shows will incur the full seating fee per guest plus processing fees. We do not accept any circumstances of your cancellation, modification or no show.
  • We are strictly counter seating

  • Guests should arrive and leave in a timely fashion so that all guests can enjoy the same experience. Right of admission reserved if later than 15mins.
  • Late arrival is reserved for management. If so, you will join the service where you enter the omakase. We will try our best to ensure you enjoy all experiences; however, we cannot guarantee this based on menu setup and offerings.   • We ask that all guests share their allergies, dietary restrictions or special requests 72hrs ahead of your reservation.
  • We are not kosher; we will try our best to accommodate all and any requests we can.
  • We are unfortunately not able to accommodate any vegan or vegetarian diets since our menu comprises predominantly fish. Nor do we offer any cooked food.
  • Every effort will be made to accommodate our guests, however there may be times when requests can’t be made. The reservation cost will remain the same.

  • We offer catering and private-in-home Omakase experiences (Homeomakase). This intimate and custom setting can be offered in-home, offices, weddings, or other celebratory events. Requires pre-booking 3 weeks in advance and minimum spend of $4000. For more info email us.
  • We offer full-in-venue private buyout seating events. This requires a minimum spend of $3500. We work with you to customize your experience and requests. These private seating events are available for 2hrs slots or longer and are priced based on the custom menu and seating duration. We require 3 weeks’ advance notice to accommodate this. An amazing sushi experience! There were multiple amazing courses involving soups, wagyu, and all kinds of sushi including fatty tuna and scallops. The chef is very genuine and talks to each person, going thru their courses and explaining each layer/the motivation behind it. Can genuinely say I was very full after the full meal and serve more food with higher quality than many omakase places. Will be going back soon and plan on recommending to my friends for special occasions. Spectacular !!!!
The chef has a very diverse background, both personal and professional experience, and that makes his creation very interesting, and unique. Unlike most of the omakase, where they mostly have the fresh sashimi over rice, sushi by sea is different! The choice of sashimi is of course very fresh and seasonal, but what makes me love this place is all the home-made, perfectly balance and just right amount sauce and the unexpected but surprisingly good combinations. The chef is also very knowledgable and a fun person to chat with.
Truly a one-of-a-kind experience. My fiancé and I had an incredible time. The portions were generous, and the flavor profiles were outstanding. We were genuinely blown away by the quality of the meats and Chef Chris’s distinctive style.
Such an amazing experience. Jay and Chef Chris have figured out the perfect atmosphere for an intimate and personalized culinary adventure. From the moment you get a reservation to receiving the secret instructions on where to go it is a unique and fun way to celebrate any special milestone with your significant other or group of friends. They say that you “arrive as strangers but leave as friends” I can tell you this is an absolute truth. This is the best omakase I ever been to, better than any omakase in NYC.
Let me start by saying, WOW! What an incredible experience! The ambiance, the chef and the staff were very inviting, so friendly and welcoming! My friend and I were looking for the best place to experience our first omakase and we stumbled upon Sushi by Sea.
I’ve been supporting Sushi by Sea since their pop-up days, and it’s been incredible watching how far they’ve come. The quality and creativity have always been top-notch, and every visit feels just as special as the first. You can really taste the care and passion that goes into every piece — everything is fresh, balanced, and beautifully prepared.

Sushi by Sea brings to life the background and culture of our owners. Playing up their Korean, Brazilian, South African and Japanese cultural experiences as they prepare dishes that take you on a culinary and magical journey.

Our owners have spent years in the industry and believe their hands on experience has equipped them to deliver this unique experience that focuses on quality dishes and close interaction with guests and making every moment memorable.

Sushi by Sea started during Covid Pandemic as pop ups, with a vision of having a dedicated home. In doing so, the nostalgic memory of our own first Omakase experience was used. They quickly realized it was far deeper than food. Their vivid memories were of the people they were with, the conversations held, energy around the counter and of course the amazing food – all of it together made it unforgettable!
